Can I speak with someone before I purchase?

If you have any questions about one of our gigs, want to make sure you purchase the right one, or need help finding one that would be best for you, we can certainly help!

Is this a one-off purchase or a subscription?

We offer both one-off gigs and monthly subscriptions. You can tell which ones are monthly by looking at the title of the service. All monthly services are titled ‘Monthly…’.

Monthly subscriptions are recurring, based on a 30-day cycle and automatically renew.

Do monthly gigs renew automatically?

Once you purchase a monthly gig, you’re all set. The gig will automatically renew on a 30-day cycle, which means no headaches on your end — it’s all streamlined for you!

You can cancel the subscription anytime via your account dashboard or by emailing us via [email protected]tory.com.

Why are some gigs a monthly service?

There are a few reasons why…

Some gigs, like Blog Posts, work great on a monthly subscription because you’ll receive awesome, new content from month to month.

Some other gigs simply work best if they’re spread over more time.

You’re free to pause any of our monthly subscription gigs at any time you would like, and can do so in your account.

What if I can’t find the service I need?

We try to offer a wide variety of services, but there’s a chance we might not have covered it all.

If you have a specific need, feel free to reach out to us via [email protected] and let us know.

We might already have it in the works, or we could see if it’s one we’d look to add.

Do I have to use a credit card for payments?

Yes, you must have a valid credit card to purchase, all and transactions are in AUD (Australian Dollars).

Unfortunately, we do not accept Paypal at this time.

I have a really short deadline. Can my project be completed in time?

If you have any questions about whether a project can be completed by a set date, just email us at [email protected] or call 1300 558 588.

Let us know your deadline and which particular service you’re interested in, and we’ll see if we can make it happen!

Who are the “freelancers”?

We try to choose the best freelancers. Repeat: the BEST.
Each freelancer has been hand-picked, and each service they fulfil on our marketplace has been carefully vetted, crafted, and has our full confidence behind it.

What if I need to speak with my freelancer?

We encourage communication between our customers and the freelancers. Our project management system (Basecamp) helps deliver all messages via email.

Your freelancer will reach out once you purchase to let you know they’re getting started.

Feel free to ask them any questions you have, add any information you want them to know, or make any requests.

You can shoot them a message any time throughout the project.

The onboarding worksheet wasn’t detailed enough

Sometimes a particular piece requires more information than perhaps we even thought to ask. No worries!

Please fill out the onboarding working as detailed as possible, and you can always tell your freelancer more.

Send them a message anytime with additional info, research or information, anything you forgot to mention previously, etc.

The more the freelancer understands what you’d like, the better the end result.

How do I know my gig is being worked on?

We guarantee, it is!

However, if you have any concerns that your project isn’t being given proper attention, please reach out to your freelancer immediately. It’d be great to send them a message asking for a progress update, and to make sure they don’t need anything from you at that time.

If you asked for an update, but they didn’t get back to you after a few days of sending, send our team an email at: [email protected] and we’ll help facilitate.

I just bought my first gig. What happens next?

Thanks so much for your order!

After you make a purchase, the gig will be located in your account and you should receive an order confirmation email with a link to a briefing form.

The freelancer will be in touch shortly, via our project management platform’s messaging feature, to let you know that they’re beginning or to ask any questions before they get started.

You can also feel free to introduce yourself in a message to them, ask any questions, or provide more info about what you need for your project.

I’m having trouble connecting with my freelancer

As you can imagine, our freelancers can get pretty busy with their projects. If you need something or have a question and haven’t heard back from them, please feel free to reach out to us [email protected] or call 1300 558 588. We’ll step in and make sure they connect with you promptly.

My gig is taking too long to complete :(

Our freelancers are super efficient with their work, but we understand some projects might require a bit more time. If you feel like yours is taking longer than expected, please share your concerns directly with your freelancer.

It’s always a good idea to be upfront with the freelancer about any deadlines you have as soon as you purchase, so they can keep this in mind.

How do I know when a one-time gig is finished?

The freelancer will send you your final project for approval.

It’s important to make sure you’re happy with your deliverables before they mark it complete, so once it’s received please send any feedback or edit requests ASAP.

You will have three days once the freelancer marks the project complete to make requests for any changes.

Canceling a subscription

If you would like to cancel your subscription service, you can do so by logging into your account.

This is login is located in the top right-hand corner of the website.

Subscriptions are based on a 30-day renewal, and it’s best to cancel it one or two days before you believe it is set to renew for another month. However, you’re able to cancel at any time.

Will my gig continue through the month if I cancel early?

Yep! You can cancel your subscription any time and the freelancer will continue to work on your project for the rest of your paid month. Feel free to send them a friendly reminder if you’d like to double check that they’re still working on it.

What if I forgot to cancel my subscription before it renewed?

We get it, sometimes things can slip through the cracks… if this happens to you, feel free to reach out to us at: [email protected].

Can you use a service for your own clients?

Many of our customers use our gigs to supplement projects for their own clients!

You would purchase the gig under your account and work with the freelancer to complete the project on behalf of your client.

Present the finished project to your client and voila!

We’ll keep our lips sealed.

What if I’m not happy with my final project?

Bummer! The first step if you’re not happy with your project is to send feedback and suggested edits to the freelancer. If, after speaking with the freelancer to make adjustments, you’re still not fully satisfied, please shoot us an email at: [email protected].

Can I be a freelancer?
